Timothy Baldwin is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering of the University of Melbourne. His primary research area is natural language processing (NLP), with a particular interest in the applications of NLP to domains ranging from web information access to language preservation to personalised content delivery in museums. In collaboration with Melbourne Museum and other colleagues at both the University of Melbourne and Monash University, he is exploring techniques for exposing and modelling different visitor perspectives on museum exhibits, personalising the delivery of information on individual exhibits, and generating narratives associated with particular paths through galleries.

Timothy will present Cheap, Accurate RFID Tracking of Museum Visitors for Personalised Content Delivery. [Paper]
