Scholarships ensure representation from around the world at MW2006. Volunteers can 'trade' helping out for free registration.
Professional Scholarships
New and innovative accomplishments on the Web come from all kinds of organizations throughout the world. Archives & Museum Informatics recognises that many individuals who make significant contributions to the World Wide Web would be unable to attend MW2006 without some financial assistance.
Competitive scholarships covering full conference registration and a full day of workshops are awarded to a select number of applicants. Professionals from the developing world are strongly encouraged to apply.
In special cases, some support may also be offered for travel costs. To be eligible, you must have made a significant contribution to the development of a cultural or heritage Web site, and must demonstrate that you would not be able to attend the meeting without support.
If you are interested in assistance to attend MW2006, please download the Scholarship Application Form (PDF) and return it to MW2006. If you have questions, please
Deadline for Scholarship Applications: December 31, 2005.
Community Contribution Scholarship
Once in a while someone creates a tool that could be quite useful to others, if they only knew about it. We want to make sure that Museums and the Web is a venue for sharing resources, so Archives & Museum Informatics created a scholarship to recognise a contribution to the museum Web community. If you've got something to share, and no way to bring it to MW2006, and tell us why the community needs you.
Volunteers
Museums and the Web offers complementary registration to students and professionals from small institutions in return for assistance with on-site conference administration.
If you are interested in volunteering, please review the Volunteer Information Sheet (PDF) and the Volunteer Contract (PDF).
Volunteers are required to sign and return the Volunteer Contract (PDF). If you have questions, please
