Patricia BarbanellMuseum/School Education Coordinator Dr. Barbanell oversees Project VIEW's videoconference program development in partnership with museums and master teachers. She serves on the NYS Education Department Middle School Reform Advisory Committee, and has served on the NYS Curriculum and Assessment Committee that authored the NYS Arts Standards. She has over 25 years experience designing interdisciplinary programming to a wide variety of organizations including schools, colleges, and museums, and has published numerous articles in national, state and regional publications on a variety of topics, including technology and museum programming. Dr. Barbanell is Past President of the NY Council of Educational Associations, E-News Editor, Advocacy Chair, and Past President of the NYS Art Teachers. She received her Doctorate from Columbia University. Patricia will present Achievement of Student Cognitive Growth: Results of Integrating Interactive Museum Videoconferencing. |
