Nicole Minor has been with the Exploratorium since 1991, and is the Manager of the Moving Images Department. As part of Moving Images, she has been a project coordinator and manager on many of the museum’s Webcasting and website projects, including Stories from the Path of Totality, Ancient Observatories, Journey to Mars, Science From the Poles, Accidental Scientist: Gardening, and Ice Stories. She has acted as a video producer and content developer for the latest web projects at the Exploratorium. The Exploratorium was a recent recipient of a 2007 People’s Voice Webby Award for Stories from the Path of Totality. Nicole has also worked in exhibit and program development, teaching programs, and public presentations. She has traveled to other science and art centers throughout the world leading staff development trainings, conducting public workshops, curating programs, and consulting. Some of these partners include the Cabaret Mechanical Theater of London, the Singapore Science Centre, the Ft. Worth Museum of Science and Natural History, the South Pole Station in Antarctica, and NASA. Educated at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Ms. Minor studied literature and film. Nicole has also guest lectured at the San Francisco Art Institute and the Media Studies department at the University of San Francisco.
