Rosanna Flouty is a museum educator specializing in new media. In fall 2006, she joined the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston to oversee a three-year Wallace Excellence grant to develop teen programming initiatives at The Institute of Contemporary Art / Boston. From 2000-2006, Flouty worked at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City, where she was the Education Manager for New Media, and was responsible for developing technology-based initiatives for a dual-platform onsite technology education space called the Sackler Center for Arts Education. Prior to joining the Guggenheim, Flouty was an educational specialist for Intel Corporation at the Whitney Museum of American Art from 1998 -1999. Rosanna holds an MA in Art Education, Museum Strand from the Rhode Island School of Design (2001), with an emphasis on the impact of technology on contemporary art museum education. She has presented regionally and nationally on the subject of technology and art museums, including at the National Art Education Association conference in Minneapolis in 2003, at its Museum Educator Division Pre-Conference in 2005 and 2007, at the New York Museum Educator Round Table annual conference in 2004 and 2005, and at the Museums and the Web Conference in New Mexico in 2006.
