Close-Up: Freer Tour

The Museum, as a whole, builds the website. The success of a museum site often depends not on the people building the site but the people around them. The staff at the Freer/Sackler are very supportive of the website. Many people pitch in to make it all happen. We'll hear from Publications/Public Affairs staff about how the calendar is run. We'll hear from curators about how exhibition sites are made. We'll hear from the Head of Design about the decisions that were made in the redesign, and a print designer about how their designs translate to the web. John Gordy, the Head of Digital Media will direct the conversation and demonstrate some of the gallery's exhibition sites and their on-line collection.
