Mikael Fernström is the director of the master's program in Interactive Media at the University of Limerick, Ireland. His main research interests are interaction design, sound, music, and electronics. Fernström studied electronic engineering and telecommunications at the Kattegatt technical college in Halmstad, Sweden, and has an MSc in human–computer interaction from the University of Limerick.
