Accompanying Guests

Participants may bring a guest to share their double accommodation and enjoy Grindstone’s recreational facilities. Overall space limits require prior arrangement for guests. Participants are not to be disturbed during sessions.

DiningDining

Participants and their guests eat meals together in the dining room of the main lodge. Our chef changes the menu daily to feature fresh local produce. Special diets and foood allergies can be accommodated by prior arrangement.

Dress

Grindstone Island has a cottage-like atmosphere. Please dress casually, and come prepared for some rain. Bring comfortable footwear, your swimming gear, and something warm to wear in the evenings.

Environment

Please respect the exceptional natural environment of Grindstone Island during your stay. Scented shampoos and high-phosphate soaps damage the water quality of our lake and should be left at home. We'll provide environmentally sound alternatives.

Services

All electrical and plumbing services have been modernized. A full-time chef, gardener, housekeeping, and maintenance staff are there to assure the comfort of seminar participants.
