Paul Rowe is Joint CEO of Vernon Systems, a New Zealand company dedicated to creating software for the global museum and gallery market. Over the last two years he has worked closely with National Services staff at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa on the updated NZMuseums website. The redevelopment aimed to make it easier for museums in New Zealand, particularly smaller, volunteer-run organisations, to showcase their collections online. He has worked in the museum industry since 1990 on a range of collections management projects including migrating data from legacy systems, streamlining internal procedures with collections management software and building public websites for collection information.
