Madeleine Lafaille is a Heritage Information Analyst with the Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN). For several years, she has been working in the museum field as a specialist in museum collections documentation and digitization. As such, she has worked on the development and application of metadata and vocabulary standards for museum collections, as well as supervised numerous projects dealing with the creation of digital heritage content in museums. After completing a B.A. in History and Anthropology, Madeleine obtained a Master’s degree in Museology at the Université de Montréal. She started recently a PhD in Information Science at l’École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l’information (EBSI), Université de Montréal. Her doctoral research project focuses on the semantic interoperability of organizational systems of information for museum collections. She is also interested in the convergence of information between library, archival and museum collections.
