Melanie Kjorlien has more than sixteen years of experience in museum, gallery and interpretive centre settings, primarily in the areas of project management for exhibition development (online and traditional), interpretation and communication strategies and content development.
As a new media producer and content developer, Melanie specializes in developing educational new media products. She has managed the development of diverse educational websites such as: Niitsitapiisinni: Our Way of Life (www.glenbow.org/blackfoot) Wonderville (www.wonderville.ca) and Youthlink Calgary (www.youthlinkcalgary.com) , emphasizing the importance of user evaluation, connection to educational curriculum and user engagement as paramount in the creation of online experiences.
