MuseTech Central, the MCN Project Registry

Susan Chun, USA
Michael Jenkins, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, USA
Robert Lancefield, Davison Art Center, Wesleyan University, USA
Willy Lee, The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, USA

A joint initiative of the Museum Computer Network (MCN) and the Museum Software Foundation (MSF), the newly-launched MuseTech Central is a persistent, searchable resource where the museum community can share information about technology-related projects. Members of the community are encouraged to create registry records that describe their current, ongoing, and past projects, and to browse the registry to discover what others are doing. Contact information for project participants allows colleagues to make connections with others with similar interests, projects, or problems.

Representatives of both MCN and the MSF will be on hand to demonstrate the Registry and to chat with colleagues about how the resource might grow to accommodate the needs of its users.
