Denise is passionate about using technology as an innovative educational tool. For her undergraduate thesis at Princeton University, Denise researched the learning effectiveness of using the Internet in K-12 classrooms. As a graduate student, she learned both the technical and pedagogical sides of instructional technology and produced a prototype CD-ROM. Denise holds her master's in Instructional Technology and New Media from Teacher's College, Columbia University. Denise has been at Liberty Science Center since January 2002. She is currently the Project Manager and Exhibit Developer for the Communication exhibition and Science Now, Science Everywhere/"SNSE" (mobile learning project) at Liberty Science Center. Both projects will be unveiled when the science center reopens in July 2007 after its major expansion.

Denise will present Mobile Phones: A new way to engage teenagers in informal science learning. [Paper]
