Randi Korn, founder and Director of Randi Korn & Associates, Inc., has worked with museums for more than two decades. Before starting her own museum evaluation research consulting business 14 years ago, she was employed in a variety of museums including art, science, and natural history, as well as a botanical garden, where she worked as an exhibition designer, interpretive planner, and evaluator. Randi has an undergraduate degree in design and was originally trained as an exhibit designer. When pursuing her graduate degree in museum studies she concentrated on educational research methodology and evaluation in the exhibition environment, a perfect melding of two passions. Because of her background in exhibition design and her knowledge of the museum visitor experience, she has the unique ability to help museums realize the limits of an exhibition and analyze evaluation data in that context. This dual understanding of exhibits and visitors is necessary for reaching conclusions and making recommendations from the data.

Randi will present Hands-On versus On-Line: Evaluating MarsQuest On-line.
