Outreach Coordinator Sarah Marcotte has been at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County for over 6 years. She started in the Museum's Insect Zoo as Education Specialist, then took over the Outreach section, managing the transition from a free, volunteer led outreach program to one using paid staff and generating revenue for the Education Division. In addition to working as the Education representative on several special exhibits for the Museum, she is the developer of Earth Odyssey, a multi-visit ecology program in which students explore the biodiversity of Los Angeles. Sarah holds Masters degrees in Museum Education and Educational Technology and currently works on web based programming for the Education Division.

Sarah will demonstrate Notes from the Field: Promoting Visitor Engagement in Science through Research Expedition Sites.
