Hans-Dieter Hahn is founder and CEO of Pandora Neue Medien GmbH, a private limited software engineering company, founded in 1997 with offices in Stuttgart and Berlin. Since the beginning of the 90ies he has worked in the field of innovative computer applications for the support of professional and creative information management. As member of the academic staff at the Fraunhofer Society from 1987 to 1997 he was engaged in several national and international consultation and research projects in the field of planning and development of multimedia data-based systems and distributed authoring and publishing applications. In 1996 he did pioneer work with the realization of one of the first networked, browser-based visitor information systems in the German museum´s landscape - the Zeppelin Museum Friedrichshafen. His expertise in the handling of complex media data and its backend processes led him to the design and development of a wide range of multimedia software applications and solutions for museums, galleries and media companies. Several international cooperation projects such as the work with Thunderwave Inc. for the Holocaust Memorial in Washington D.C. followed. Recent example is the project with the Jewish Museum Berlin where he and his team are responsible for the installation of the interactive Rafael-Roth Learning Center as well as for the development of the overall media infrastructure and logistics within the intranet of the museum. He is member of several working groups and the IT committee at the IHK Stuttgart, the chamber of Industry and Commerce in Stuttgart, since 2001 he is member of the European Research network "Digicult".
