Ph.D. in 1975 from UC Berkeley. Political sociologist with a long interest in the impact of U.S. domestic politics on foreign and defense policy. Author of CRACKS IN THE EMPIRE, SEARCH FOR SANITY, and PEACE POLITICS. Recently served as guest curator for "Hiroshima and Nagasaki: The Fallout," an exhibition at the Aidekman Gallery at Tufts University. Together with the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation, I am currently developing a CD and interactive website to support educational efforts addressing the history and current debate over the role of nuclear weapons.
