David K. Farkas is a Professor in the Department of Technical Communication at the University of Washington. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in information design, Website design, and computer documentation and has published and presented extensively during the past 20 years. His main areas of interest are hypertext theory and the design of Websites and help systems. Dave is now completing, with Jean Farkas, a textbook for Allyn and Bacon on Website design. He holds a Ph.D. in British Literature from the University of Minnesota, and is a Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication.
