Nic Sheen
Nic Sheen is a highly experienced software analyst and project manager. After completing a Degree in Astrophysics at Newcastle University, he moved to the Archaeological Sciences Department at Bradford University. His PhD thesis, "Automatic Interpretation of Archaeological Gradiometer Data Using a Hybrid Neural Network", in collaboration with Geophysical Surveys of Bradford, covered a range of topics, from Magnetic and Potential Theory to Artificial Neural Networks. Dr Sheen is now Technical Director of iBase Image Systems LtD. The leading UK supplier of image database and Digital Asset Management Systems. He published extensively during his PhD thesis, both in the Archaeological and Computing Journals. He has continued this interest at iBase, producing a number of articles for the European and American Image Processing magazines, on Systems design and the application of new technology.
