Nancy Buenger, a staff conservator at the Chicago Historical Society since 1992, is the curator and designer of Wet with Blood: The Investigation of Mary Todd Lincoln's Cloak. She completed her graduate conservation training at the Courtauld Institute, University of London in 1989 and an M.A. in Liberal Studies at Northwestern University in 2000 with a concentration in American social history. She coordinates the Wet with Blood collaborative historical and scientific investigation, and is currently planning a screenplay for a public television documentary on the project.
