Putting the Collection in Hands of the Audience: ArtsConnectEd's Art Collector

Session: Demo Session 2

This demonstration will provide an overview of Art Collector, a new online authoring tool for building and presenting custom collections of works of art from the ArtsConnectEd database of The Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Walker Art Center. Art Collector is a low bandwidth, server-side application developed using Allaire’s ColdFusion and a SQLServer database that does not use client-side plug-ins. Scott Sayre and Willy Lee from the Minneapolis Institute of Arts will demonstrate the software and answer questions related to its development and applications.
