Giovanni Mainetto

Giovanni Mainetto holds a Degree in Computer Science from the University of Pisa, Italy. After an initial industrial experience at the research labs of Systems and Management, he joined CNUCE-CNR where he is currently a researcher of the Multimedia team. Since then he has been working on Object-Oriented Databases, Persistent and Database Programming Languages, Persistent Object Stores, Static Analysis of Database Programming Languages and, more recently, on Multimedia Databases. He has participated and/or coordinated CNUCE teams involved in several EU/CNR funded research projects in the multimedfia database area
