Xavier Perrot has specialised in interactive multimedia and hypermedia for museums since 1990. He holds a Ph-D in "Production des hypermŽdias et des interactifs multimédias pour les musées" from the University of Paris 8, where he lectures at the Hypermedia Department.
Perrot is a research fellow of the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA), and he also teaches at "École du Louvre" and "École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts" (Paris).
He serves as a consultant for cultural interactive projects, museum multimedia production and management studies, such as MAGNETS for the European Commission in 96-97 .
Xavier Perrot co-organized the MILIA museum round tables in 1996 and 1997, and he is curently coordinating the organization of ICHIM 97.
