Dr. Andrea Dirsch-Weigand works as a part-time researcher at GMD-IPSI within the DELITE division. After studies of History and German Literature at the Universities of Würzburg, Aix-en-Provence/France and Darmstadt, she received her Ph. D. in Medieval History from the University of Würzburg. Since 1996, she has been studying Information Science at the University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule) Darmstadt. During her practical training at the GMD-IPSI, she took part in the German Digital Library Initiative Global Info and the American Digital Library Project PORT (Peirce Online Resources Testbed).
