Simone Lahme is a Graphic and Communication Designer currently working in the field of Distance Learning at DELTA - Distance Education & Telecommunications Applications at the Institute for Media Communication at GMD - the German National Research Center for Information Technology.

Ms. Lahme who has received a special price for her Diploma Work "Netkolleg Musikgeschichte" in GMD's Best Diploma Competition, has solely designed and implemented a concept for an interactive Tele-teaching platform for the Internet on the" History of Music". The tool is chiefly considered for users with limited or no computer or technical familiarities.

From 1991 until 1993 Simone Lahme studied History of Art at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-University in Bonn. In 1993 Ms. Lahme commenced her Graphic Design studies at the Rhein-Sieg-Kunst-Akademie in Hennef, where she successfully completed her Diploma 1998. During this time she was employed and also carried out some internships for various establishment in Bonn and London.
