Maristella Matera

Department of Electronics and Information, Politecnico di Milano

Maristella Matera is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Electronics and Information, Politecnico di Milano. Since her graduation in Computer Science at the University of Bari, Italy, in 1994, she has been awarded several research fellowships in Italy and abroad. In 1995 she worked at CNUCE Institute of the National Research Counsil in Pisa - Italy. During 1996 she was visiting researcher at GVU Center - Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, US. Her research interests span usability engineering, multimedia modeling, intelligent multimedia presentation systems, visual interfaces for databases. She has been involved in various ESPRIT European projects in the above fields.

Maristella will co-present To Use or Not to Use? Evaluating Usability of Museum Web Sites and Design and Usability Evaluation of On-Line and Off-Line Multimedia Applications.
