Mr. Matsuzaki graduated from the University of Tokyo in 1964. After which, he joined NHK, The Japan Broadcasting Corporation. At the Technical Research Laboratories of NHK, he was engaged in the research and development of broadcast satellite, solid-state image devices and LSI technology. Since 1984 he has been engaged in the development of the HDTV system and the promotion of HDTV broadcasting at the Engineering Administration Department of NHK. He was deputy Director General of the Engineering Administration Department in 1994 and moved to NHK Engineering Services, Inc. in 1996.
