Michael Payne has been employed by the National Museum of Australia for 18 months and is reponsible for the management of the Studies of Australia project. This project is focussed on delivering a range of on-line multimedia learning object resources for primary school students throughout Australia and New Zealand that help explain Australian culture and diversity. Michael has been closely involved with the on-line multimedia education market for more than six years and has fulfilled roles in design and development, project management, and marketing. Michael has a particular interest in the learning object model as it offers an enormous potential for the development of re-useable educational resources that can be made available to a wide range of users, particularly those in remote parts of Australia where formal teaching methods are often unavilable.

Michael will present Collection Object To Learning Object.
