What is a Request for Proposal? When is an RFP appropriate and how should the RFP process be used? What does a vendor expect to see in an RFP from an institution? What should an institution expect from a prospective vendor in response to an RFP? What criteria go into the final vendor selection process? This paper describes the content and the effort that goes into a successful RFP process on both the client side and the vendor side.
