He investigates the possibility of combining physical architecture and information structures to support integrated offline and online processes for business and everyday social activities, such as learning, working, shopping, playing and healing. Huang received his DiplArch from the ETH Zurich and his master's (MDesS) and doctoral (DDes) degrees from the GSD. Huang has conducted research for the Swiss National Science Foundation and for the MIT Sloan School of Management, and has been involved in several Internet start-up ventures worldwide. Prior to coming to the U.S. he was active in real estate development, building design and software design.
