I liked the scattered color tiles as a navigational system. Immediately, the site makes you stretch outside your comfort zone and think about how these concepts interrelate. The non-linear theme continues inside the site; the timeline of scattered dates is nice, keeping the user thinking about themes instead of facts and dates. This can be frustrating for more straightforward users, but the site anticipates these concerns in the "study" section. A glossary and several translated writings (many of which appearing translated for the first time on this website, according to the nomination) were a nice touch.
