Timothy W. Cole is Mathematics Librarian and Associate Professor of Library Administration at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he has been a member of the Library faculty since 1989. He also is principal investigator for the Illinois Open Archives Initiative Metadata Harvesting Service project funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. While at Illinois he has held positions in the Beckman Institute Library, the Grainger Engineering Library, and the Library Systems Office, and has been a co-principle investigator on the Illinois Digital Library Initiative Phase I and Illinois D-Lib Test Suite projects
