I am a Professor of Chemistry and currently serve as the Chair in the Chemistry Department at Humboldt State University, where I have taught for over 25 years. I received my doctorate in Biochemistry in 1976 from the University of Southern California. I been Principle Investigator or Co-PI on over five hundred thousand dollars in grants to develop multimedia and to integrate molecular modeling and visualization into the chemistry curriculum. I have co-authored 25 articles or presentations in chemical education, eight educational software packages, an educational video short, seven scientific research publications, and more recently an article on the history of the AbbŽ refractometer. I am the founder, curator, and web-master for the Robert A. Paselk Scientific Instrument Museum. I am also Chair of the Advisory Board and web-master for the Humboldt State University Natural History Museum (http://humboldt.edu/~natmus), and web-master for the Humboldt State University Chemistry Department
