Dr. Thomas Kochtanek is Associate Professor of Information Science in the School of Information Science and Learning Technology, University of Missouri-Columbia. His research focuses on Digital Libraries, Information Storage and Retrieval, and Asynchronous Learning Environments. He is the head of the MU Design Team that developed the Project Whistlestop Web site. Kochtanek has written over 50 articles, book chapters and conference publications. He has regularly contributed to the InfoToday conferences since 1991, as both a speaker and as a conference paper reviewer.
