John Eakins
Dr John Eakins is Director of the Institute for Image Data Research at the University of Northumbria. His Doctorate in Computing Science from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne was concerned with the design and evaluation of a shape retrieval system for engineering drawings. His main current research interests are content-based image retrieval, industrial applications of image processing, software re-use and intelligent databases.
