BA in Fine Arts (painting, drawing, printmaking) from the University of South Florida. After 10 years of pursuing various unrelated kinds of employment (housepainter to NYC artists, assistant hotel manager, assistant to a psychologist doing psychometric evaluations, unsuccessful novice Benedictine monk, clerk in a Nantucket liquor store)and not really knowing what to do with myself, I acquired an MLS and worked as a librarian at NYPL, The Newton Free Library, Harvard and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. At the Met, I became involved in systems and especially the internet as it moved into the mainstream. I moved from there to a new career as Head of Information Systems at the Frick where I have been happily learning on the job and by the seat of my pants ever since.
