Te Taka Keegan is a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand. He is working on his doctorate which is titled, "Maori Language Promotion via the Internet". He is one of a small number of Maori who are working at increasing the availability of Maori language in the computing environment. He is the Project Director for the Niupepa Collection and an active member of the NZDL project.
